Louisiana Volleyball Offers Season Preview With Vermilion-White Scrimmage

LAFAYETTE – Louisiana Volleyball fans can see the 2019 Ragin' Cajuns in action for the first time on Saturday, Aug. 17 when the squad competes in the Vermilion and White Scrimmage at Earl K. Long Gym (500 E. St. Mary Blvd.).
Admission is free and open to the public. First serve is scheduled for 2 p.m.
The scrimmage will consist of three sets. After the conclusion of play, fans will be able to meet the team and take pictures with the players.
The Ragin' Cajuns, entering the 12th season under the direction of head coach Heather Mazeitis-Fontenot, will complete their first week of preseason camp with the scrimmage.
Fans will also have an opportunity to interact with the team during Fan Day festivities at the Cajundome Convention Center on Sunday, Aug. 18 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
LOOKING AHEAD
Louisiana travels to Houston on Saturday, Aug. 24 for a 4 p.m. exhibition match at Houston Baptist, then officially begins the 2019 season by kicking off a season-opening, seven-match homestand the weekend of Aug. 30-31 with the DoubleTree Classic at Earl K. Long Gym.
