@RaginCajunsGolf Preview: Old Waverly Collegiate Championship

WEST POINT, Miss. – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns golf team begins its final tuneup before competing in next week's Sun Belt Conference Championships when it opens play on Monday in the seventh annual Old Waverly Collegiate Championship at the Old Waverly Golf Club.

Action begins on Monday at 8:30 a.m., with a 36-hole shotgun start before the final round begins on Tuesday at 8 a.m. Live results will be available at RaginCajuns.com.

Louisiana, which will compete at the Sun Belt Conference Championships April 21-24 in Miramar Beach, Fla., returns to stroke play for the first time since March 18-19 after competing at the Lake Charles Toyota Invitational.

The Ragin' Cajuns return to action for the first time since April 1 when it competed at the Jerry Weeks Match Play Tournament, splitting a pair of matches between South Alabama and host Southern Miss.

Freshman Charlie Flynn (73.63) and Micah Goulas (73.54) have posted the top scoring averages for Louisiana and will fill the top two spots in the Ragin' Cajuns lineup. Junior Jack Tolson (74.43), Peter Hinnant (74.20) and Hudson Dubinski (75.86) round out Louisiana's five-man lineup

The Ragin' Cajuns will be paired during Monday's play with Middle Tennessee and Little Rock. Host Mississippi State, Bradley, Chattanooga, Lipscomb, Louisiana Tech, ULM, Memphis, Ole Miss, South Alabama, South Dakota, Southern Miss and Vanderbilt round out the 15-team field.
