FABRE HAS IMPRESSED: Off to a 3-0 start in singles, freshman Ai Noa Fabre has gotten her first collegiate spring off to a great start. Playing two matches at No. 6 (2-0) and one match at No. 5 (1-0), Fabre has giving Louisiana a strong foundation in the bottom half of its singles lineup.
WHAT THE LADY LIONS BRING: Southeastern Louisiana comes to Lafayette, La., having won its previous two matches. The Lady Lions took down LSU Alexandria, 6-1, on Friday, Feb. 1 in their home opener, before hitting the road and taking down Alcorn State (4-0) on Sunday, Feb. 3 in Alcorn, Miss.
Since the 2003 season, Louisiana and Southeastern Louisiana have played each other close on the courts, with the Lady Lions holding a slight 5-4 lead in the series during that stretch. Louisiana did win the previous meeting, 4-3, on Jan. 28. 2018 in a match that was played at Cajun Courts. This year's match makes it the first time that the two teams will meet in back-to-back seasons since the 2013-14 seasons.
