@RaginCajunsWT Takes One In Rain Shortened Doubleheader Against Prairie View A&M

Louisiana won the first match, before rain canceled the second match of the doubleheader
LAFAYETTE – Although rain would cancel the second portion of its doubleheader, Louisiana Women's Tennis (5-3) did start the day with a dominating 4-0 win over Prairie View A&M (3-11), in the first match of the scheduled doubleheader, Thursday afternoon at Cajun Courts.
Junior Marina Rodriguez Garcia got the clinching win in Louisiana's win of the first match, and she was joined by sophomores Floriane Picaut, Dana Radovanovic and junior Clara Mantaux in the win column. Louisiana was dominate in its win, taking the four matches without dropping a set to snag the 4-0 win.

HOW IT HAPPENED (Singles): The match started with singles, and at No. 4 singles, Radovanovic got Louisiana off to a strong start. The sophomore Frenchwoman cruised past Jessica Lackey, 6-0, 6-3, to give Louisiana a quick 1-0 lead.
At No. 2, Picaut locked up another point for Louisiana, with a 6-2, 6-2, straight set win over Neharika Rama and at No. 5 Louisiana got another win when Mantaux's opponent, Constanza Aranguiz, retired with Mantaux leading 6-3, 4-1. It was at No. 3 singles, with Garcia coming away with a 6-3, 6-1, win over Timara Maxwell, that Louisiana finished off its dominating 4-0 win over PVAMU.

UP NEXT FOR THE CAJUNS: Louisiana will next head west with a three-match road trip in California, starting with San Francisco on Mar. 2. Louisiana then heads to Pacific on Mar. 3, before finally returning back to Lafayette, La., after taking on UC Irvine on Mar. 5.
