Cajuns returns home to host 34th annual Louisiana Classics
HUMBLE, Texas – Heavy rain in the Houston area washed out the final round for the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns golf team at the 2019 All-American Intercollegiate on Tuesday at the Golf Club of Houston.
Louisiana, which was led by Bjorn Gudjonsson's 5-over-par 149 over 36 holes, finished 11th overall in the event. Sam Houston State led from wire-to-wire in the event, finishing with a two-day score of 573 and claiming the title by five strokes over Baylor and Houston.
Ole Miss' Cecil Wegener claimed medalist honors after recording a 4-under-par 68 on Monday and finish as the leader (6-under 138) through 36 holes.
Louisiana will return home and will host the 34th annual Louisiana Classics beginning on Monday at Oakbourne Country Club. Play will begin on Monday at 8 a.m., with a 36-hole shotgun start and the final 18 holes played on Tuesday at 7:30 a.m.
