Louisiana Returns Home for Pivotal Contest Against Troy

Ragin’ Cajuns can clinch Sun Belt West Division title with a victory over the Trojans
LAFAYETTE – Riding a four-game winning streak following a hard-fought win over South Alabama, Louisiana looks to lock up the Sun Belt West Division crown on Saturday afternoon when the Ragin' Cajuns host the Troy Trojans at Cajun Field.
Following last Saturday's win, Louisiana has produced its best record (8-2) in its first ten games since the 1976 season and clinched its first perfect road slate (5-0) since the 1970 campaign.
With two home games remaining, the Ragin' Cajuns are in a prime position to solidify its spot in the conference title game for the second-straight season.

• Louisiana grinded out a tough result in Mobile on Saturday, Nov. 16, staving off the South Alabama Jaguars by a final score of 37-27.
• For just the second time this season, Louisiana was outgained in a contest (468-391).
• Levi Lewis accounted for two passing touchdowns, while Elijah Mitchell and Trey Ragas accounted for the other two scores.
• Placekicker Stevie Artigue accounted for 13 of the 37 points in the contest, moving him into fouth place all-time for scoring in program history with 271 career points.
Geauxing Bowling
• With Louisiana's 31-3 victory over Texas State on Nov. 2, the Ragin' Cajuns clinched bowl eligibility for the secon-straight season.
• If the Ragin' Cajuns are selected for a bowl game, it will be the ninth bowl appearance in program history.
Moving the Chains
• Louisiana's offense has had no issues moving the ball in chunks and is currently tied for ninth nationally in total first downs with 254.
• Of the 254 first downs, 137 have come on the ground, good for sixth nationally.
Explosive Offense
• The ability to consistently move the chains has to do with the big plays created by the Louisiana offense. The Ragin' Cajuns are currently 12th in the nation with 178 plays of 10+ yards.
• Louisiana is also tied for 27th with 57 plays of 20 or more yards.
• Of those big plays, Louisiana is tied for third nationally in rushing plays for 10+ yards (89), tied for sixth in rushing plays of 20+ yards (29), and tied for 10th in rushing plays of 30+ yards (13).

• With Louisiana's 255 yards on the ground against South Alabama on Saturday, Nov. 16, the team has upped its season total to 2,784 yards, the eighth most in the country.
• Louisiana ranks second in the country in yards per attempt with 6.58 yards per carry, ranking behind Clemson (6.65).
• Louisiana has scored 34 rushing touchdowns this season, tied for the third most in the FBS. The Ragin' Cajuns rank behind Army (40), Navy (37), and are tied with Clemson (34) and Air Force (34).
• The Ragin' Cajuns rank sixth in average yards per game, tallying 278.4 yards on the ground.
• The Ragin's Cajuns have rushed for over 300 yards in three games this season.

• Louisiana's combination of Elijah Mitchell, Trey Ragas and Raymond Calais have been unstoppable this season.
• The trio has accounted for 2,193 of the 2,784 rushing yards and 26 of the team's 34 rushing scores.
• More impressively, the trio has only combined for 31 yards lost.
• The trio all scored a rushing touchdown in the game against Arkansas State (Oct. 17), the second time this season the three have recorded a rushing touchdown in a single game and the third time in their careers.

Tossing the Ball Around the Yard
• Levi Lewis etched his name in the Louisiana record books during the team's game against South Alabama, becoming just the sixth player in program history to throw for at least 15 touchdowns in a single season after tossing two against the Jaguars.
• The junior has thrown for 1,907 yards on the year with a 65.6 completion percentage (164-250) and has notched 16 throwing touchdowns to just three interceptions.
• Lewis had a career night against Coastal Carolina on Nov. 7, setting career bests in passing yards (296), completitions (26) and touchdowns (3).
• Lewis finished the game against the Chanticleers 26-of-30 through the air for a completion percentage of 86.7 percent, setting a new school record for a single game.
• Lewis opened the 2019 season throwing 267 yards with 24 completions on 39 attempts against Mississippi State on Saturday, Aug. 31.
• Lewis' 267 passing yards is the most against a Power 5 school since Blaine Gautier threw for 315 yards against Arizona on Nov. 26, 2011.
