Glueck, Smith record personal-bests in multi events for Ragin' Cajuns
SAN MARCOS, Texas – Jonathan Kimutai and Beau Robinson helped the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns track and field team wrap up a successful second day of the 2018 Sun Belt Conference Outdoor Championships on Saturday at the Bobcat Track and Field Stadium.
Louisiana wrapped up the second day of competition in second place on the men's side (45) behind host Texas State (52) with the women 10th (8.5).
The final day of competition begins on Sunday with field events at 11 a.m., before running events start at 5 p.m. The final day will also be streamed live on ESPN3 with coverage beginning at 5 p.m.

Kimutai clocked a personal-best time (9:14.69) in the men's 3,000-meter steeplechase to finish second overall with Beau Robinson finishing sixth (9:31.73). The duo helped Louisiana move up two spots in the standings heading into Sunday's final day of competition.
Louisiana received 11 points in the men's decathlon with Sven Glueck finishing third (6,833 points), Chandler Mixon fifth (6,736) and Angus Sinclair seventh (6,371).
Glueck, who finished as the runner-up in the men's heptathlon at the SBC Indoor Championships, posted the fourth-highest total in school history after recording personal-bests in the 100-meter hurdles (15.04), discus (106-7), pole vault (13-9 ¼) and javelin (149-0).
Shaquille Singuineau earned a fifth-place finish in the men's shot put with a mark of 55-1.
Juliette Smith recorded the third-best performance in the women's heptathlon in school history, scoring 4,839 points to finish fifth for Louisiana with Alex Morrow finishing eighth (4,631).
Lindsay LaGarde eclipsed her personal-best in the women's 3,000-meter steeplechase after posting a time of 11:15.50 to finish sixth overall for the Ragin' Cajuns. Freshman Frankie Griffin added an eighth-place finish for Louisiana in the women's high jump (5-4 ½).
Tyler Hughes qualified for the finals in the men's 110-meter hurdles after posting a time of 14.22 to finish sixth overall while Stanley Limoh qualified for the finals in the 800-meters after posting a time of 1:52.88.
