Ragin’ Cajuns Golf Tees Off At 2018 Sun Belt Men's Golf Championship

SANDESTIN, Fla. – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns golf team is set to open the 2018 Sun Belt Men's Golf Championship on Sunday at the par-71, 6,900-yard Raven Golf Club at the Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort.
Teams will play 18 holes on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday a 7:30 a.m. start. Players will start off of holes one and ten each day.
Where To Watch
Live video from holes 1, 9, 10 and 18 will be available throughout the first three rounds. As players progress through the course, live coverage will be rotated around to provide extensive coverage of this year's golf championship. Fans can follow along via the Sun Belt Facebook page as well as the Sun Belt YouTube channel. All links can be found on the Sun Belt championship central page.
The Field
Appalachian State, Arkansas State, Coastal Carolina, Georgia Southern, Georgia State, Little Rock, Louisiana, South Alabama, Texas State, Troy, ULM and UT Arlington make up the 12-team field.
The Ragin' Cajuns are paired with Troy and Appalachian State for the first round and will start off of hole ten at 7:30 a.m.
The Lineup
Sophomore Jack Tolson anchors the Ragin' Cajuns lineup with a team-best 74.03 scoring average through 30 rounds. Junior Triston Elston is second on the squad with a 74.20 average. Bjorn Gudjonsson, Peter Hinnant and Cole Kendrick round out the lineup.
Match Play
The Sun Belt Championship continues with its match play format this year with teams playing three rounds of stroke play before the top four teams move to match play to decide the title. The top four teams at the conclusion of the 54-hole stroke play will advance to match play.
The semifinals and finals of match play are set for Wednesday. The top seed will matchup against the fourth seed and will tee off on the No. 1 tee, while the second seed will matchup against the third seed and tee off on the No. 10 tee. Morning tee times will begin at 7:30 a.m. CT. The championship match will tee off the No. 1 tee at a time to be determined.
