Ragin' Cajuns competing in LSU Spring Tournament at Pete Maravich Assembly Center
BATON ROUGE – Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Volleyball concludes spring tournament action on Saturday, April 21 at LSU's Pete Maravich Assembly Center.
The Ragin' Cajuns are scheduled to play three matches in the LSU Spring Tournament:
9 a.m. vs. Tulane (Women's Basketball Practice Gym)
11:30 a.m. vs. LSU (PMAC Main Floor)
2 p.m. vs. McNeese (Women's Basketball Practice Gym)
Admission is free. Matches begin at 9 a.m. and will be held on the PMAC's main floor and in the women's basketball practice gym.
The event is the fourth and final tournament for head coach Heather Mazeitis-Fontenot's squad in the spring 2018 non-championship segment.
The Ragin' Cajuns (21-11, 13-3 SBC in 2017) are seeking to build upon the program's finest season in the Sun Belt Conference era (1991-present). During the 2017 season, the squad raced out to a school-record 7-0 start in league play, posted the first winning conference mark since 2002 and set the school record for SBC wins. The reward was the program's highest seed ever (No. 3) in the SBC Tournament.
Head coach Heather Mazeitis-Fontenot, preparing for the 11th season of her tenure, has a roster that features three returning All-Sun Belt Conference performers in middle blocker Dree'Ana Abram, libero Sydney Davis and 2017 SBC Freshman of the Year Hali Wisnoskie.
