Ragin' Cajuns Take the Court Saturday in Spring Tournament at E.K. Long

LAFAYETTE – Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Volleyball hosts the program's annual Spring Tournament on Saturday, March 3 at Earl K. Long Gym (500 E. St. Mary Blvd).
Admission to the event is free and open to the public.
Matches will begin at 9 a.m., with a new match occurring each hour through 3 p.m.
The Ragin' Cajuns welcome Northwestern State, Missouri-West Plains, San Jacinto College, Southern University and Xavier-New Orleans for the round robin format event.
There will be two courts of play with all of the Ragin' Cajuns matches occurring on Court 1. Matches will be timed using a running 45-minute clock.
Louisiana is scheduled to play in the 9 a.m. (Southeastern Louisiana), 12 p.m. (Missouri-West Plains), 2 p.m. (Southern) and 3 p.m. (Northwestern State) time slots.
The Ragin' Cajuns (21-11, 13-3 SBC in 2017) are seeking to build upon the program's finest season in the Sun Belt Conference era (1991-present). During the 2017 season, the squad raced out to a school-record 7-0 start in league play, posted the first winning conference mark since 2002 and set the school record for SBC wins. The reward was the program's highest seed ever (No. 3) in the SBC Tournament.
Head coach Heather Mazeitis-Fontenot, preparing for the 11th season of her tenure, has a roster that features three returning All-Sun Belt Conference performers in middle blocker Dree'Ana Abram, libero Sydney Davis and 2017 SBC Freshman of the Year Hali Wisnoskie.
