LAFAYETTE – Louisiana Women's Basketball plays its final home game in the month of November, after playing the first two of its three games at the CAJUNDOME, when Jackson State makes a visit to Lafayette for the first time since 2014 on Monday, Nov. 19 with tip scheduled for 6:30 p.m.

HOW TO WATCH/LISTEN/FOLLOW: The game will be broadcast on CST, with Dan McDonald on play-by-play and Scott Brazda handling the analysis.  On the radio ESPN1420 will broadcast the game with Steve Peloquin calling the game.  Live stats will be available for the game, provided by RaginCajuns.com.

REVIEWING THE PREVIOUS GAME: Louisiana dropped its previous game, 72-69, against Dillard at the CAJUNDOME in the fifth Annual Education Game.  With the final seconds ticking down, Louisiana did have a chance to tie the game, but a missed a three-point attempt that would have sent the game into overtime rimmed in and out to wrap up the game.

Sophomore center Ty'Reona Doucet recorded her third double-double of the season, finishing with a team-high 21 points and 11 rebounds.  It was the fifth double-double of Doucet's career and the third game this season that Doucet has scored at least 20 points in the game.  Fellow sophomore Jomyra Mathis tied Doucet for the team-high in rebounds during Louisiana's game against Dillard, finishing with 13 points and 11 rebounds to record her first career double-double.

Louisiana did shoot 40.3 percent from the field in the game and the Ragin' Cajuns controlled the paint scoring 28 points in the paint.  Louisiana also won the rebounding battle grabbing 37 boards to Dillard's 31.

AVERAGING A DOUBLE-DOUBLE: Doucet's continues to be a force for Louisiana and over the first three games she has had solid showings for the Louisiana, with Doucet recording a double-double in all three games.  Docuet is averaging a Sun Belt Conference best 16.0 rebounds per game and she leads the conference in points per game, at 22.7.

DOUCET RANKS AMONG THE NATION'S BEST: Doucet's great start to the season, with three-straight double-doubles, puts among the best in the country.  She ranks second in the nation in rebounding per game and she is one of 16 women that already have a nation-best three double-doubles.  Where Doucet separates herself is in terms of double-doubles and games played, she is one of eight women in the nation that have recorded a double-double in the only three games they have played thus far this season.

NOT JUST ONE DOUBLE-DOUBLE: Mathis recorded her first-career double-double in Louisiana game against Dillard (Nov. 14).  She tied fellow sophomore Doucet in the team-high for rebounds with 11 and she scored 13 points to record the double-double and both were career-highs.

WHAT THE TIGERS BRING: Jackson State, who enters the game 1-3, won its last game, 65-56, over Central Arkansas on Nov. 13 for its first win of the season.  Louisiana will be the second team from the Sun Belt Conference that Jackson State has played, with UT Arlington winning 99-63 on Nov. 10.  The Tigers were picked to finish fifth in the SWAC Preseason Poll and Marneisha Hamer was named preseason All-SWAC 2nd Team.

Kaisah Lucky leads the Tigers in assists (18) and assists per game (6.0).  Those numbers lead the Southwestern Athletic Conference, and Lucky ranks in the Top-50 in the country in both total assists (ranked 34) and assists per game (ranked 42).  While Christina Ellis leads Jackson State in scoring, averaging 15.3 points per game which ranks third in the SWAC.

D'Asia Mitchell is the long-range weapon for Jackson State, averaging 23 three-point attempts per game, which ranks her first in the SWAC and she is hitting her shots from beyond the arc at 39 percent, which ranks her second in the SWAC.
