Carter Falls Short In 200 Meters; Cajuns Wrap Up NCAA East Preliminary

Carter set to compete in men's 100-meters at NCAA Championships
LEXINGTON, Ky. – Hanoj Carter's bid to compete in a second event at next month's NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships fell short as he finished 18th overall in the 200-meter dash while the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns wrapped up competition on Saturday at the NCAA Division I East Preliminary at the UL Track and Field Complex.
Carter, who qualified on Friday for the men's 100-meter dash at the NCAA Track and Field Championships on June 7-10 in Eugene, Ore., posted a time of 20.75 in the 200-meters and finished fifth in his heat.
Louisiana's Ricky Theyard and Dionte Heath each wrapped up their Ragin' Cajuns careers with Theyard finishing 27th in the men's triple jump (49-10) with Heath clearing 6-6¾ in the men's high jump to finish 36th.
