Golf To Close Out Regular Season at Reunion Intercollegiate

MADISON, Miss. – The Ragin' Cajuns golf team is set to close out the regular season at the Reunion Intercollegiate starting on Monday at Reunion Golf Country and Club.

Play gets underway at 8:30 a.m. on Monday with a shotgun start for the first and second rounds. The third and final round is scheduled for Tuesday.

"This is a great field on a great golf course," head coach Theo Sliman said. "It looks likes Mother Nature is going to play havoc on us. We are going to have stay strong mentally with the possibility of delays and inclement weather. The good thing for us is that this golf course sets up a lot like the course we will play on at the conference tournament, only a little tougher. This will be a good test for our team going into the Sun Belt Championships."

The Reunion Intercollegiate features two teams ranked in the Golfstat Top 25 including No. 10 Houston, No. 15 Vanderbilt. Host Ole Miss, Austin Peay, Central Arkansas, Jackson State, Louisiana, Middle Tennessee, Mississippi State, UMKC, Southeastern Louisiana, Southern Miss, Troy, UNCG and WKU make up the rest of the 15-team field.

The Cajuns are paired with Southeastern Louisiana and Troy for the first two rounds. Haraldur Magnus, Fernando Cruz Valle, Ross Davis, Thomas Strandemo and Christian Verrougstraete will make the start for Louisiana.
