RCAF Annual Fund Passes The $1 Million Mark

LAFAYETTE, La. -- Contributions to the 2013 Ragin' Cajuns Athletic Foundation Annual Fund have surpassed the $1 million mark, needing just five months to amass the total that it needed over eight months to achieve in 2012.
The RCAF annual fund officially surpassed the $1 million mark on May 9 and begins the week with unrestricted donations of $1,046,200 from almost 1,200 donors. In 2012, it did not reach the $1 million total until mid-August, ending the year raising a record $1,252,447 from 1,800 donors.
“The 2013 RCAF Annual Fund has reached the $1 million mark after only five months of contributions. It is a tribute to Ragin' Cajuns fans that we are progressing rapidly toward our annual goal,” RCAF president John Bordelon said. “The 2012 donations to the Athletic Fund were effectively utilized by attracting and retaining outstanding coaches' salaries and enhancing recruiting budgets. The success of many of our athletic programs is directly attributed to your contributions to the RCAF.”
