ANOTHER CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP
The Ragin' Cajuns clinched their 11th Sun Belt Regular Season Conference Championship in the league's 12-year history with a 2-1 victory over Western Kentucky in the nightcap of the twin bill on Saturday. UL has won five straight league titles.

SENIOR WEEKEND
Seniors Ashley Brignac, Paige Cormier, Megan Granger, Erikka Murphy, Christi Orgeron, Callie Philen and Katie Smith will be honored before Sunday's game as they will play their final home regular season game.

BRIGNAC, FERNANDEZ NAMED to ACADEMIC ALL-DISTRICT team
Ashley Brignac and Natalie Fernandez were selected to the 2012 Capital One Academic All-District Team. It marked the third all-district selection for Brignac, who was the 2011 Capital One Academic All-American of the Year. Fernandez makes her first appearance on the team and was one of four infielders selected.

GETTING HOT AT THE RIGHT TIME
Heading into the final series before postseason play, Louisiana has won 10 in a row, their second longest streak of the year aside from the 28-0 start to the season. The Cajuns have outscored their opponents 77-11 during the stretch and the pitching staff has compiled an ERA of 1.26.

WALLACE SETS NCAA MARK
Jordan Wallace is off to the best start for a pitcher during her freshman year in NCAA history at 23-0. She surpassed Texas A&M's Amanda Scarbrough and Florida's Stephanie Brombacher marks of 20-0, which were set in their freshman campaigns in 2005 and 2008, respectively.

ORGERON TIES GRAND SLAM RECORDS
Christi Orgeron is tied with Serena Settliemier (Kansas, 2006) for the NCAA single season record with sixth grand slams on the year. She also is tied with Francesca Enea (Florida, 2007-10) with nine slams in her career. UL has hit 10 grand slams as a team this season.

ORGERON SITS SIXTH ON CAREER RBI LIST
The senior broke the school RBI record against Georgia Tech (3/22) and leads the country for the second consecutive season with 85 this year. She ranks sixth all time in NCAA history with 279 in her career - just 14 shy from equaling fifth place.

AMONG NATION'S TOP HITTING TEAMS
UL is ranked fourth nationally in batting average, hitting .345 as a team. Natalie Fernandez and Katie Smith are hitting over .400, while four other Cajuns are batting at least .333.

ECLISPING 40-WIN MARK
The Cajuns have eclipsed the 40 win mark for the 20th time in the last 21 seasons. UL has reached 50 wins nine times in program history, while recording 60 wins just once (2004).

WALLACE NOTCHES FOURTH SBC PITCHER OF THE WEEK HONOR
The Weatherford, Texas native hurled her 16th complete game of the season in a 2-1 win on Saturday, allowing one run, on two-hits and fanning three. Wallace came in for relief in the final game of the series on Sunday, hurling six innings, while surrendering just one hit and striking out six.

NATION'S CURRENT LONGEST HOME WINNING STREAK
Louisiana holds the nation's longest home win streak of 39 games, dating back to last season. The UL record is 53 straight during the 1993-94 seasons.

SECOND INNING DOMINANCE
The Ragin' Cajuns have outscored their opposition 67-4 in the second inning. The pitching staff has not allowed a run in the frame since giving up two against North Texas (3/10), a span of 26 games.

SETTING THE TABLE
Natalie Fernandez ranks 19th nationally in batting average (.434) and has hit safely in 39-of-46 games. Katie Smith has recorded a base hit in 39-of-44 contests and leads the team with 20 multi-hit games.

MYERS PACES COUNTRY IN RUNS
The junior shortstop leads the nation with 68 runs scored this season, a year after tying the UL mark for runs  in a season, with 77 in 2011.

BRIGNAC CLIMBING THE RECORD BOOKS
Ashley Brignac is third on the school's career wins chart with 89, and ranks second in both win/loss percentage (.824) and strikeouts per seven innings (8.37). With 809 career strikeouts, Brignac became just the fourth Cajuns pitcher to record 800 in her career and is four shy of passing Kim Eisnaugle (812, 1983-86) for third in UL history.

MILESTONE COUNTDOWN
Stefni Lotief is 18 wins short of 600 with 592 career victories in 12 years. Michael Lotief is 9 wins shy of 500 with 491 victories in his 10 year tenure.

NCAA'S TOP OFFENSE
The Cajuns led the nation in scoring last year and are well on their way to repeating the accomplishment this year. UL tops the country in both runs scored (384) and runs per game (8.35).

UL CRACKS TOP 5 IN COACHES POLL
Louisiana found themselves in the top five in the polls for the first time this season. The Ragin' Cajuns are in the fifth slot in the USA Today/NFCA Division I Top 25 and are locked in at No. 6 in the ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25 Poll.
