SERIES HISTORY
Louisiana owns a 15-3 record against Florida Atlantic. The Owls swept the Ragin' Cajuns last year during the regular season, winning all three games in Boca Raton, Fla, before UL topped FAU in the SBC tournament.

ORGERON SIXTH ON ALL-TIME RBI LIST
Christi Orgeron broke the school RBI record against Georgia Tech (3/22) and leads the country for the second consecutive season with 73 RBI this year. She ranks sixth all time in NCAA history with 267 in her career.

CAJUNS RECEIVE WEEKLY AWARDS
Ashley Brignac was named the Sun Belt Conference Pitcher of the Week (4/8-4/14) after huring four complete games and two shutouts. UL swept the LSWA weekly honors as Brignac was recognized for the second time and Christi Orgeron was the hitter of the week.

ORGERON NAMED TOP 25 FINALIST FOR USA SOFTBALL POY
Christi Orgeron was selected by the Amateur Softball Association (ASA) as a top 25 finalist for the USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year.

MYERS PACES COUNTRY IN RUNS
The junior shortstop leads the nation with 60 runs, a year after tying the UL mark for runs scored in a season, with 77 in 2011. Christi Orgeron ranks third with 52 runs, while Katie Smith is seventh with 47.

WALLACE 20-0
Freshman pitcher Jordan Wallace is off to a 20-0 start to begin her collegiate career. Statistical research shows she is tied for the best start ever by a freshman pitcher to begin her career. Amanda Scarbrough of Texas A&M in 2005 also started 20-0.

BRIGNAC CLIMBING THE RECORD BOOKS
Ashley Brignac picked up her 85th career victory on Sunday against Middle Tennessee, placing her alone in third place on the school's all-time wins list. The senior also ranks second in both win/loss percentage (.819) and strikeouts per seven innings (8.38).

UL GRAND SLAMS
Christi Orgeron launched her fourth grand slam of the year on Saturday in the game one victory over Middle Tennessee. The blast ties her with former UL slugger Gabriele Bridges for the second most grand slams in a season - two away from equalling the record. The Cajuns as a team have hit nine grand slams on the year.

MISS CONSISTENCY
Katie Smith leads the team with a .422 batting average and has hit safely in 36-of-39 contests this year.

FERNANDEZ RUNNING WILD
Natalie Fernandez swiped four bags on Sunday against Middle Tennessee, marking just the fifth time a Ragin' Cajuns player has reached the single game record in school history.

NCAA'S TOP OFFENSE
The Cajuns led the nation in scoring last year and are well on their way to repeating the accomplishment this year. UL tops the country in both runs scored (334) and runs per game (8.4).

CAJUNS REMAIN TOP 10 IN BOTH NATIONAL POLLS
Louisiana is ranked in the top 10 for the fifth consecutive week in both national polls, which were released on Tuesday. UL is No. 7 in the USA Today/NFCA Division I Top 25 and No. 8 in the ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25.

COUNTDOWN TO 800
Ashley Brignac ranks fourth in school history with 792 career strikeouts. The River Ridge, La. native needs to punch out 21 more hitters to pass Kim Eisnaugle (1983-86, 812) for third on the list.
