SERIES HISTORY
The Cajuns own a 41-3 record against Middle Tennessee and have won the previous seven meetings. UL swept the season series last season, winning all three games by a combined score of, 28-1.
ORGERON NAMED TOP 25 FINALIST FOR USA SOFTBALL POY
Christi Orgeron was selected by the Amateur Softball Association (ASA) as a top 25 finalist for the USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year, which was announced on Tuesday.
MYERS PACES COUNTRY IN RUNS
The junior shortstop leads the nation with 56 runs, a year after tying the UL mark for runs scored in a season, with 77 in 2011. Christi Orgeron ranks third with 49 runs, while Katie Smith is seventh with 43.
BRIGNAC CLIMBING THE RECORD BOOKS
Ashley Brignac is a victory away from the 85th in her career, which would place her alone in third place in school history. The senior also ranks second in win'loss percentage (.816) and strikeouts per seven innings (8.43). (See page 5 for complete records list)
WALLACE TABBED SBC PITCHER OF THE WEEK
Jordan Wallace was named the conference pitcher of the week after throwing two complete game shutouts against South Alabama, including a career-high 16 strikeout effort in the first game of the series.
NCAA'S TOP OFFENSE
The Cajuns led the nation in scoring last year and are well on their way to repeating the accomplishment this year. UL tops the country in both runs scored (313) and runs per game (8.5).

Freshman pitcher Jordan Wallace is off to an 19-0 start to begin her collegiate career. Statistical research shows she is off to one of the best starts in NCAA history for a freshman, surpassing Tennesse's Monica Abbott, who began her career 17-0 in 2004.
COUNTDOWN TO800
Ashley Brignac ranks fourth in school history with 782career strikeouts. The River Ridge, La. native needs to punch out 31 more hitters to pass Kim Eisnaugle (1983-86, 812) for third on the list.
ORGERON BREAKS RBI RECORD
Senior Christi Orgeron broke the school career RBI record by blasting her third grand slam of the year in the nightcap against Georgia Tech (3/22), passing Danyele Gomez on the list . Orgeron, who led the nation in 2011 with 101 RBI, the third highest total in NCAA history, ranks seventh in NCAA history with 259 in her career and leads the country this season with 65.
ORGERON NAMED LOWE'S SENIOR CLASS AWARD TOP 10 FINALIST
Christi Orgeron was named one of 10 finalists for the Lowe's Senior CLASS Award. The be eligible for the award, student-athletes must be classified as a senior and demonstrate notable achievements in the community, classroom, character and competition. Lowe's will announce the winner during the NCAA Women's College World Series, May 31-June 6.
CARDIAC CAJUNS
Louisiana has trailed in 13 of their 37 games this year and have rallied to win in all but one. The squad overcame a seven-run deficit against Georgia Tech and was down four runs to both Houston and North Texas.
RUN PRODUCING MACHINES
UL features three players in the top 30 on the nation's RBI per game list. Christi Orgeron (1.82) leads the country, while fellow teammates Nerissa Myers (1.12, 22nd)and Matte Haack (1.12, 22nd) join her on the list.
NATION'S LONGEST HOME WINNING STREAK
The Cajuns are undefeated at home this year and hold the nation's longest home winning streak of 36 games, dating back to last season.
COUNTDOWN TO MILESTONES
Stefni Lotief is 17 wins short of 600 with 583 career victories in 12 years. Michael Lotief is 18 wins shy of 500 with 482 victories in his 10 year tenure.
BEAT THE STREAK
Katie Smith has hit safely now in 17 straight contests and 31 of her last 32 games. Kelli Bruce owns the Ragin' Cajuns record of a 25 game hitting streak set back in 1999.
CATCH HER IF YOU CAN
Erikka Murphy has stolen a school and SBC record 44 consecutive bases successfully and was last caught stealing on March 5, 2010 at Arkansas. Murphy is 69-of-70 (.986) in stolen bases in her career.
