Softball Moves up in Both Polls

ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25 Poll
LAFAYETTE, La. -- The Ragin' Cajuns softball team climbed one spot in both the USA Today/NFCA Division I and ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25 polls, which were released on Tuesday.
UL, (17-0) is now No. 11 in the country after a 5-0 performance in the 2012 Ragin' Cajuns Invitational. Louisiana defeated Texas A&M – Corpus Christi twice, Kentucky, Nicholls State and Stephen F. Austin to win their third tournament of the year.

The Cajuns hit .404 as a team, totaling 63 hits over the weekend. UL outscored their opponents 56-12 in the five contests, averaging 11.2 runs per game.
The Cajuns return to the field on Wednesday March 7, as they travel west to face Houston in a double-header starting at 4:00 p.m.
