Cajuns Tennis Hosts 24th Annual Ragin’ Cajuns Team Tennis Classic

LAFAYETTE, La. - The Ragin' Cajuns men's and women's tennis programs recently held their 24^th Annual Ragin' Cajuns Team Tennis Classic Fundraiser at Beaver Park and Oakbourne Country Club.

All proceeds from the event go directly to help defray costs of travel, supplies and recruiting for the men's and women's tennis teams.

“This is a great event,” men's tennis head coach Mark Jeffrey said. “It is nice for our community to meet and greet our players, and for our players to show their gratitude to the community for their support. It is a very hectic season, but it is well worth it to come out and see the other side of Lafayette tennis”.

Over 180 participants took part in the round robin team format at the 24^th Annual Ragin' Cajuns Team Tennis Classic.

“A special thanks goes to all of our sponsors,” Jeffrey said. “Without them, this event would not be possible. I'd also like to acknowledge our participants who played well throughout the tournament. I thought the level of tennis was really high; Lafayette definitely has “game” the community loves their tennis and it shows”

The women's tennis team is slated to host Southern Mississippi on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Cajun Courts, while the 57^th ranked men's tennis team returns to action on Saturday, March 31 when they head to Shreveport, La. to face Centenary.
