Softball Makes Huge Jump in Polls After 5-0 Weekend

ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25 Poll

The Ragin' Cajuns softball team has made a huge jump in both national polls, which were released on Tuesday.

Louisiana (12-0) is locked in at No. 12 in both polls and made the largest jump in the ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25 Poll, improving six spots from No. 18 last week. The Cajuns moved up five slots in the USA Today/NFCA Division I Top 25 Poll.

The Ragin' Cajuns are coming off a 5-0 weekend at the NFCA Leadoff Classic, including a victory over then No. 12 Michigan 10-7 on Saturday. 
 
The Cajuns return to action this weekend as they play host to the 2012 Ragin' Cajuns Invitational March 2-4. UL will be joined in the tournament by Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, Kentucky, Nicholls State and Stephen F. Austin.
