Athletes to Appear at Lunch Money Carnival on Saturday

LAFAYETTE - On Saturday, Oct. 27 at The Lafayette Event Center, Ragin' Cajuns baseball and golf teams will be running sports-themed booths at the Louisiana Lunch Money Carnival. 

The event takes place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
 
The Lafayette Event Center located at 4607 Johnston Street.
 
The event benefits Louisiana Lunch Money which is a non-profit organization whose goal is to raise money for those students who are unable to pay for lunch at school. 

The activity is one of several community service projects that University of Louisiana student-athletes are scheduled to participate in during the 2012-13 athletic year.

On Tuesday, Oct. 30, select student-athletes are visiting Women's and Children's Hospital to deliver Halloween candy to patients.
