Dates and Times are Set for SBC Tourney

The Ragin' Cajuns baseball team will return to Warhawk Field in Monroe this week for the 2011 Sun Belt Conference Baseball Tournament which begins on Wednesday, May 25 and continues through Sunday, May 29.
With the tournament format changed to round robin play for this year's event, the exact date, time and opponent for all of Louisiana's matchups in the quest for a tournament title are set, allowing fans to plan their trip accordingly.
Under the new round robin format, the tournament field is divided into two four-team pools with the team with the best record in each pool advancing to the tournament's championship game. Each team is guaranteed three games and a day off prior to Championship Sunday.
Louisiana (31-24), the No. 3 seed in the tournament, is slotted into Pool B and will compete for the right to advance to Sunday's championship game against No. 2 FIU (37-17-1), No. 6 South Alabama (29-26) and No. 7 Arkansas State (25-30-1).
The Ragin' Cajuns schedule of games for the 2011 Sun Belt Tournament is as follows:
Thursday, May 26 vs. South Alabama - 11 a.m.
Friday, May 27 vs. Arkansas State - 11 a.m.
Saturday, May 28 vs. FIU - 7 p.m.
Should Louisiana win Pool B the squad would advance to Sunday's championship game against the winner of Pool A. The championship game is scheduled for Sunday, May 29 at 1 p.m., and will be televised live by the Sun Belt Network (carried on CST in Louisiana).
Pool A will be comprised of No. 1 Troy (40-16), No. 4 Western Kentucky (32-22), No. 5 Florida Atlantic (32-22) and No. 8 UALR (20-32).
Two-way ties in a pool will be broken by head-to-head play. In the case of a three-way tie, the highest seed will advance.
Louisiana enters the 2011 tournament with 18 SBC wins and 31 overall wins. The Ragin' Cajuns were the champions of the regular season a year ago. UL is making its 18th appearance in the SBC Tournament and will look for its first tournament title since the 1998 season.

Ticket Policy
Warhawk Field will NOT be cleared following each game during pool play. HOWEVER, fans who leave Warhawk Field for any reason will be required to purchase another ticket to re-enter Warhawk Field. There will be NO pass outs.

Each game of the 2011 Sun Belt Tournament, excluding the championship game on Sunday, will be streamed live on SunBeltSports.org from Warhawk Field in Monroe. This is an SBC Extra exclusive for only $9.95. Fans can fill out the required registration information on SunBeltSports.org and get the action streamed live to their computer. SBC Extra is a broadband video channel that is powered by SunBeltSports.org, the Official web site of the Sun Belt Conference.
