"It was a tough day in front of a tough crowd," said UL head coach Greg Harkins. "But we will take what we've learn and move on heading into the Sun Belt Championships."
La.-Monroe, winner of 15 straight heading into Sunday, grabbed the doubles point and posted wins at the no. 5 and no. 6 spots in singles action to take an early 3-0 lead.
Briggit Marcovich won the sole point for UL with a 6-2, 6-2 win from the no. 3 position.
The Warhawks then won the no. 6 singles to clinch the match.
The Cajuns finish the regular season at 9-8 and 4-2 in the Sun Belt play.
