Cajuns Volleyball Visits Houston on Saturday

Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns volleyball team continues with the second tournament of the spring schedule this weekend at the inaugural Texas Pride College Invitational in Houston. UL will play four teams in the one day invite on Saturday, March 25.

Last weekend, the Cajuns hosted the University of Louisiana tournament and had matches against Nicholls State, Southeastern Louisiana and Southern.

"We did some things well and other things we were more challenged with," said UL head coach Heather Mazeitis. "The team is young and we are training them to be well rounded players, which is an uphill climb. We are hoping to learn a lot this spring while being competitive."

On Saturday, UL will play two Conference USA opponents in Tulane and Houston. The Cajuns will also have matches against Lamar and Houston Baptist.

The Texas Pride College Invitational is the second of three tournaments UL will participate in this spring season. The Cajuns will be at the LSU Tournament next Saturday, April 2 in Baton Rouge.
