Cajuns Set to Whiteout ULM on Senior Day

The Ragin' Cajuns football team is set to close out the home slate this weekend as they host La.-Monroe on Senior Day presented by First Guaranty Bank at Cajun Field. UL will look to stay undefeated at home for the first time since 1987.
The Cajuns and Warhawks kick off at 2:37 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 5 in a live television broadcast that will air on the Sun Belt Network. Joe Davis will call the action with Cole Cubelic providing analysis and Erin Cofiell on the sidelines. The contest can be seen on CST and CSS (check local listings), while fans outside of those markets can view the game on ESPN3.com or ESPN Gameplan.
Fans are encouraged to wear white in an effort to “Whiteout” Cajun Field. Louisiana is slated to wear white jerseys and pants. Click here to view the Cajuns game notes.
With the team at seven wins for the first time since 1993 and preparing for the La.-Monroe contest, head football coach Mark Hudspeth held his weekly media luncheon on Monday afternoon.

The ninth edition of Inside Ragin' Cajuns Football airs tonight at 9:30 p.m. on Cox Channel 4. Replays of Inside Ragin' Cajuns Football will air Wednesday's at 4:30 p.m. on Cox Sports Television (CST).
Louisiana and La.-Monroe are deadlocked at 23-all in the series with both teams having won 11 contests apiece in Lafayette, La. The Cajuns have won the last three meetings against the Warhawks including a tight 23-22 decision a year ago.
UL (7-2, 5-1 Sun Belt) is coming off of its most complete game this season as the Cajuns cruised to a 45-20 win over Middle Tennessee on the road.
Alonzo Harris had a career-best 189 yards rushing and two touchdowns in the win over the Blue Raiders earning him Sun Belt Offensive Player of the Week honors. Harris' 189 yards rushing against MT is the third most in school history by a true freshman running back. He posted 140 of the 189 yards in the first half.
The Cajuns have rushed for over 100 yards in eight of their nine games with the team's best rushing performance coming against MT posting 338 yards on 54 carries. The last time UL rushed for as many yards was in 2008 when the Cajuns totaled exactly 338 yards against North Texas.
Devon Lewis-Buchanan posted the first “pick six” by a linebacker on the season against Middle Tenn. to give the Cajuns six on the year. The Cajuns lead the nation with six “pick sixes” on the year. Vanderbilt, Tulane and Southern Miss. rank second with three.
Melvin White earned Sun Belt Defensive Player of the Week honors after posting an interception, fumble recovery, seven solo tackles and a TFL against MT. The weekly award is the second of the year for White who was named the SBC Special Teams POTW on Sept. 19.
After the La.-Monroe contest, the Cajuns will close out the season with two road games starting with a Nov. 12 clash at Arkansas State set for a 2 p.m. kickoff on ESPN3.com. UL has a 6-3 edge in the all-time series winning the last three decisions by no more than seven points.
