Men's Hoops 2009-10 Slate is Set

A home-and-home with Southern Miss, visit from Tulane and road trips to LSU and Louisville are the featured matchups on the 2009-10 schedule for the University of Louisiana men's basketball program.
The Ragin' Cajuns men's basketball team will have 15 appearances at the CAJUNDOME in 2009-10 beginning with an exhibition game against West Alabama on Nov. 10.
The regular season begins on Saturday, Nov. 14 against Southern Miss - the first of three straight home games to start the season.
The McNeese rivalry game - Nov. 28 at Burton Coliseum in Lake Charles - is the first road game of the season. That's followed by a trip to LSU on Dec. 1
Louisiana starts Sun Belt Conference play on Saturday, Dec. 12 in the CAJUNDOME against Florida Atlantic. Three days later, the Cajuns complete a home-and-home with Southern Miss.
For the first time since the 1984-85 season, Tulane is on the schedule. The Green Wave makes its first trip to the CAJUNDOME on Dec. 21.
The Cajuns will spend the holidays away from home. A pre-Christmas road trip to Louisville is the highlight of the holiday season. The Cajuns and Cardinals will battle from Freedom Hall on Dec. 23.
Louisiana returns to Sun Belt play for the rest of the season with a New Year's Eve showdown in Bowling Green, Ky., against WKU. The Cajuns' holiday travels finish in Murfreesboro, Tenn., for a meeting with Middle Tennessee on Jan. 2.
January and February feature an even split between home and road games. Each month has four home games and four road games.
After returning from Murfreesboro, the Cajuns will spend two of the next three weekends at home with four of the next five outings in the CAJUNDOME. A trip to Little Rock to meet UALR on Jan. 16 is the lone road game in the stretch.
February features a visit from Isiah Thomas' FIU Golden Panthers. That matchup is set for Thursday, Feb. 4.
The Cajuns final home game will be against in-state rival ULM on Feb. 20. The regular season wraps up with the North Texas-Denver road swing Feb. 25-27.
The Sun Belt Conference Tournament will be held in Hot Springs, Ark. In a change in format, all league teams will make it to the tournament site. The event is scheduled to run March 6-9 at the Summit Arena-Hot Springs Convention Center complex.
