Cajuns End Regular in Disapointing Fashion

LAFAYETTE - Louisiana's Ragin Cajuns women's tennis team ended their regular season on a sour note with a 7-0 Sunday afternoon at the hands of #72 South Alabama. The Cajuns said goodbye to two seniors on the team Sunday at Cajun Courts. Seniors Angela Dangond and Marina Ruiz de Gauna had their last match at Cajun Courts on Sunday.
UL got off to a rough start by losing all three doubles matches to fall behind 1-0. The Cajuns number one team of Julie Mazinova and Mia Gordon took a 7-6 lead but ended up losing 9-7.
Julie Mazinova took the first set 7-5 in her match but lost two the second 3-6. Mazinova lost the tie breaker 10-7 to take the loss.
The Cajuns will take part in the Sun Belt Conference Championships, April 17-19. The meet will take place in Denton, Texas.
