Cajuns Season Ends With 4-2 Loss to ULM

Denton, Texas - Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns women's tennis team got off to an good start by winning the doubles point but couldn't hold on to the lead as they lost 4-2 to in state rival ULM in the first round of the Sun Belt Conference Tournament. UL got a singles win by senior Angela Dangond as she ended her career on a personal high note.
Louisiana was able to take home the doubles point even after it forfeited the number three doubles match. UL's Mia Gordon and Julie Mazinova won at number one doubles by a score of 8-3. Milou Isreal and Dangond won number two doubles 8-6.
The match was decided at number three singles. ULM's Ana Burjaili defeated Milou Isreal in three sets (6-4, 1-6, 6-4).
The Cajuns end the year with an 8-12 record.
