ULM's Three Point Attack Too Much for UL

MONROE, La.?Sannisha Williams scored seven of her team's first nine points in the second half and then ULM buried four triples over a four minute span to break away from a five-point halftime lead and defeat Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns 82-53 here Wednesday evening at Fant-Ewing Coliseum.
The Warhawks (13-11, 6-7 Sun Belt) scored four points in a 10-second pan to quickly push their halftime lead to nine points. It began with a Williams layup at 18:20 and was followed by a UL turnover which led to two free throws by Lottie Moore which made it 34-25.
Five seconds later it was Jasmine Barnes on the receiving end of a long outlet pass which led to her making a spin-move layup at 18:05 for the Cajuns to make it 34-27.

The Ragin' Cajuns (3-21, 0-13 Sun Belt) answered back with baskets from Alexis Green and Nicole Morris to slice the deficit to 42-31 with 15:06 on the clock.

With the loss, the Cajuns dropped their 11th straight game and remain winless in the 2009 calendar year. UL was also mathematically eliminated from hosting a first round game in the Sun Belt Tournament.
