Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns concluded play at the Memphis Intercollegiate on Tuesday after the first day was shortened due to darkness. After struggling in the first round with a score of 316, the Cajuns posted back-to-back totals of 303 for a total of 922 (+58). The turnaround was not enough however as the Cajuns found themselves in 16th-place at the end of the two-day event.
Andrew Noto was the top-finisher for the Cajuns, finishing in a tie for 26th-place, after carding a three-round total of 226 (+10).
Philipp Fendt found himself out of the top-five for the first time this season after posting rounds of 77, 78 and 75. His score of 14-over landed him in a tie for 44th-place.
Kyle Pritchard (+17), Mark Brockhurst (+20) and Thomas Petts (+23) rounded out the scoring for the Cajuns.
South Alabama won the team title with a score of 882 (+18). UALR (+23), Southern Miss (+30), Iowa State (+35) and Denver (+36) rounded out the top-five.
Marc-Ettienne Bussieres blitzed the field to earn medalist honors after posting three consecutive rounds under par. His score of 207 (-9) was the tournament's only score recorded under par.
Louisiana has a week to regroup as the Cajuns will play at Louisiana State's David Toms Invitational on Oct. 26 and 27. The tournament will be held at the Country Club of Louisiana in Baton Rouge.
