LAFAYETTE - Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns will pack their uniforms and head for Florida this weekend, facing off against Florida Atlantic in Boca Raton at 6 p.m. Central on Friday night, and taking on Florida International in Miami at Noon Central on Sunday.

The Cajuns enter the weekend with a 6-16 overall record, standing at 3-9 in the Sun Belt Conference following a tough two-loss weekend against SBC East second-place Middle Tennessee and perennial powerhouse Western Kentucky. UL did not come home empty handed, though, as they stole an extra-points set from the Blue Raiders on Friday night.

Florida International stands atop the Sun Belt East Division with a sparkling 10-1 record in conference play, which also qualifies the Golden Panthers as the owners of the entire conference's best league record. FIU is 20-4 overall on the season. Florida Atlantic sits at the other end of the SBC East standings in sixth, with a 10-13 overall record and a 3-8 mark in the Sun Belt.

The Ragin' Cajuns have already topped their 2007 season, picking up two more victories and matching their three wins in conference, with six matches yet to play, all in the Sun Belt.

Louisiana continues to rely on a diverse offensive attack. They currently have eight different players averaging more than a kill per set. Sonora Edwards leads them in hitting percentage and is four kills away from becoming the fifth Cajun to reach 100 on the season.

Amie Goodwin has become the Cajuns' most prolific attacker since starting conference play, putting down 96 kills at a clip of 2.34 per set.

Lindsay Brown was the iron-woman of 2007 for the Ragin' Cajuns, and 2008 has been no different. She has played in all 79 of UL's sets, while posting 20 service aces and standing among the conference's defensive leaders with 303 digs overall, and an average of 4.00 per set against SBC teams.

The Cajuns come home again on Friday, Nov. 7, with conference action against Denver at 7 p.m.
