Cajuns Complete Sweep of Seton Hall

With the win the Cajuns improved to 20-2 on the season, while the Pirates of Seton Hall fall to 1-13.
Holly Tankersley tossed a complete game and improved to 8-2, with the win. Seton Hall's Kim Schweitzer fell to 0-8, with the loss, as she also pitched the entire game for the Pirates.
The Cajuns got on the board early as they scored two runs in the bottom of the first inning.
With one out Tankersley singled to centerfield and with two outs Desi Chatman walked. Melissa Verde singled to center scoring Tankersley from second, scoring
UL added a single run in the bottom of the second inning on a Tankersley solo home run, her sixth of the season.
In the bottom of the sixth inning the Cajuns extended the lead to 5-0 on solo homeruns from Codi Runyan, her eighth of the season and Lacey Bertrucci, her third of the season.
In the top of the seventh inning, Seton Hall plated two runs on a Laura Baranek lead-off single and doubles from Amanda Winn and Leah Menichetti.
Runyan, Tankersley, and Bertucci, the top three hitters in the Cajuns line-up each had two hits. Verde and Bowers added hits for the Cajuns.
The Ragin' Cajuns completed the weekend sweep of Seton Hall with the victory. On Friday, the Ragin' Cajuns took an 18-0 win in five innings over the Pirates.
