Cajuns track competes at LSU Tiger Classic

BATON ROUGE-Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns men's and women's track and field teams competed in the LSU Tiger Classic on Saturday. The Cajuns concluded the meet after collecting several top ten finishes.
D.J. Hebert picked up a second place finish in the men's 3000 meter steeplechase, recording a time of 10:18.32, while Brandon Orso placed third for the UL men.
The men's squad picked up another third place finish in the 4X100 meter relay. The team posted a time of 41.60 seconds.
Chris Sandifer placed fifth in the 800 meter run with a time of 1:59.66, while Nathan Cormier had a seventh place finished.
Quenton Jones finished seventh in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 55.35 seconds.
Luke Moody placed ninth in the men's 100 meter hurdles, recording a time of 14.88 seconds.
In women's action, Whitney Davis picked up a fourth place finish in the high jump.
Callie Picou placed fifth in the 5000 meter run, posting a time of 19:09.03. Suzanne Boudreaux placed sixth with a time of 20:07.53 seconds.
Kayla Vice placed fifth in the pole vault, clearing a height of 10-10.00.
In the women's 800 meter run, Jasmine Collins placed fifth with a time of 2:19.63. Stacey Enright placed seventh, while Tiffany Saltzman placed ninth.
Amy Doucet placed seventh in the javelin thrown, posting a distance of 119-05, while Quantisha Rambo placed eighth in the women's 100 meter hurdles. Rambo recorded a time of 14.94 seconds.
The UL women's 4X100 meter relay team finished seventh with a time of 48.42 seconds.
