LAFAYETTE- Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns women's tennis team lost its third match of the season after falling to No. 52 Minnesota 5-1 on Monday.
The loss drops the Cajuns to 9-3 on the season.
The No. 74 Cajuns only picked up one win in singles play, with a victory from Myrthe Molenveld at No. 2. Molenveld defeated Lindsay Risebrough 6-1, 6- 1.
Tammy Day dropped her match to Ashley Schellhas 7-5, 5-7, 2-6 at No. 1, and Chanell Meijer was defeated by Tijana Koprivica 6-4, 3-6, 5-7 at No. 3.
The Golden Gopher's Danielle Mousseau topped Laura Martelli 6-1, 7-5 at No.
4, while Angela Dangond was defeated by Ida Malmberg 6-4, 7-5 at No. 5.
Clemence Remy dropped her match to Karina Chiarelli 6-4, 6-4 at No. 6.
Doubles were scratched from the match due to rain that afternoon.
The Cajuns will travel to Arkansas on Tuesday to face the No. 54 Razorbacks.
The match is scheduled for Wednesday, March 14.
