LSU Tennis Sweeps Cajuns

BATON ROUGE, La.- Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns men's tennis team was swept by No. 20 Louisiana State 7-0 to fall to 2-4 on the season.

The Cajuns, ranked No. 60 in the latest ITA poll, dropped all six singles matches to the Tigers. The ninth ranked Ken Skupski defeated Piotek Banas 6- 0, 6-4 at the No. 1 position.

Dusan Tabak was defeated by No. 68 Danny Bryan 6-2, 7-6(4) at the No. 2 position, and Shaun Ellison was defeated by Colt Gaston 6-4, 6-2 at the No. 3 position.

LSU's Kevin Dessauer had a 6-1, 6-1 victory over Jorge Delgado at the No. 4 position while Janusz Conradi dropped his match to Jan Zelezny 6-2, 7-6(1) at the No. 5 spot. James Cluskey defeated Zack Taylor 6-1, 6-0 at the No. 6 spot.

In doubles action, the Tigers swept the Cajuns in all three matches. The third ranked doubles team of Cluskey and

Skupskidefeated Conradi and Delgado 8-5 at the No. 1 position.

Bryan and Gaston defeated Banas and Ellison 8-1 at the No. 2 position, and Dessauer and Zelezny had an 8-5 victory over Arlen Domoney and Tabak at the No. 3 position.

The Cajuns are set to face Mississippi State on Wednesday, Feb. 21. The match will be held in Starkville, Miss. and is scheduled to start at 2:00 p.m.
