Istre Named Sun Belt Performer of the Week

LAFAYETTE– Freshman Michael Istre was selected as the Sun Belt Male Performer of the week, as announced by the Sun Belt Conference office Wednesday.

The Crowley native had a very busy day Saturday, at the LSU Twilight Invitational. Istre finished fourth in the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.12 and placed eighth in the 60-meter dash, at 6.97, which was also his best time this season in that event.
