Cajuns to Host Fan Day Saturday
Gates open at 11 a.m., followed by five-inning Cajuns intrasquad scrimmage at 2 p.m.

LAFAYETTE Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns baseball will host Fan Day here Saturday at M.L. "Tigue" Moore Field. Gates open at 11 a.m.

Admission is free for all fans. Free hot dogs and soft drinks will also be available. The first 200 fans through the gate will receive a free baseball pennant for autographs.

Current and former Ragin' Cajuns baseball players will sign autographs from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Former Ragin' Cajuns include current Los Angeles Dodgers catcher Paul Bako and Colorado Rockies pitcher Scott Dohmann. Other former Cajuns appearing for Fan Day are Corey Coles, Phil Devey, Patrick Green, Andy Gros, Walt Guillory, Rick Haydel, Chase Lambin, Alan Ochsner, Eric Templet and Jordy Templet.

The Home Run Derby will begin at 1 p.m., followed by a five-inning Cajuns intrasquad scrimmage at 2 p.m.

Louisiana-Lafayette will open the 2005 season on Feb. 11 when it hosts Louisiana Tech for a three-game weekend home series. Friday's game will begin at 6:30 p.m., while Saturday's game will begin at 2 p.m. Sunday's game will televised on KLAF-TV Channel 17 in Lafayette. Game time is slated for 1:05 p.m.
