LAFAYETTE - University of Louisiana at Lafayette men's basketball program has signed junior college transfer Anthony Rhodman (pronounced road-man) to a National Letter of Intent, adding to its recruiting class for the 2004-05 season.

Rhodman, a 6-foot-2 point guard, comes to Louisiana-Lafayette via Louisburg College in Louisburg, N.C.

The Gahanna, Ohio, native averaged 15 points, five assists and three steals this past season for the Hurricanes. He was named to the NJCAA Region X All-Conference Team.

Five times he scored over 20 points in a game including a season-high 24 points.

Rhodman is the Cajuns second signing of the spring signing period. Last week, Louisiana-Lafayette added Jeanerette native Derek Gray.

Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns (20-9) won the Sun Belt Conference regular season and tournament championships during the 2003-04 season and advanced to the postseason for the third straight season and fourth time in the last five seasons.
