BASEBALL POSTPONED DUE TO WEATHER...May 17, 2002

LAFAYETTE -- Louisiana's Ragin' Cajun baseball team has announced its scheduled 6:30 p.m. Friday game versus Arkansas State has been postponed due to weather.

The game will me made up as part of a 4 p.m. doubleheader Saturday at "Tigue" Moore Field. From 5 p.m. until 6 p.m., former Cajun and New York Yankee great Ron Guidry will sign autographs and will be honored in between games during "Ron Guidry Night."

The first 250 kids through the gate will receive batting helmets, and the first 250 adults will receive a free t-shirt. There will also be a fireworks show after the second game, along with a special audio-video presentation.

Gates will open at 3 p.m.
