Men's Basketball Season Ticket Sales Begin Monday

MEN'S BASKETBALL SEASON TICKET SALES BEGIN MONDAY Season Ticket Renewals Deadline has been extended to Friday, Nov. 1

LAFAYETTE – The University of Louisiana at Lafayette Ragin' Cajuns Athletics Department announced Saturday that its 2002-03 men's basketball season ticket package will be available for purchase beginning this Monday, Oct. 28 at 10 a.m. at the Cajundome Ticket Office.

UL Lafayette Director of Athletics Nelson Schexnayder also announced that 2001-02 season ticket renewals would be processed until Friday, Nov. 1, extending the previous deadline.

Fans may purchase tickets in person or by calling the Cajundome Ticket Office at (337) 265-2100.

The package features 11 home games highlighted by a nationally televised ESPN 2 matchup with the 2001-02 Sun Belt Conference regular season and tournament champions Western Kentucky and preseason Sun Belt Conference Player of the Year Chris Marcus on Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2003 at 8:30 p.m.

Season ticket prices this season for 100-level and 200-level priority seating is $128 per ticket. Non-priority 200-level seats are priced at $98 per seat while 300-level seats can be purchased for $73. There is a $5 Cajundome handling fee per each account.

Priority seating requires a $50 per seat donation to the Ragin' Cajuns Club ($100 per seat for courtside seating).

Full payment of season tickets as well as donations can be charged to Discover card, MasterCard or Visa. Cash, checks and money orders will be accepted.

The 2001-02 Sun Belt West Division champion Ragin' Cajuns will open their regular season home slate on Wednesday, Dec. 11 at 7:05 p.m. against Louisiana College. The Cajuns will continue their three-game opening homestand on Monday, Dec. 16 against Alcorn State and Wednesday, Dec. 18 against Bethune-Cookman College, both 7:05 p.m. start times.

Following the Christmas holidays UL Lafayette returns to the Cajundome for the first of eight home conference games against New Mexico State on Thursday, Jan. 2, 2003. Other SBC home games include Florida International (Jan. 18), Middle Tennessee (Jan. 25), South Alabama (Feb. 6), New Orleans (Feb. 8), Denver (Feb. 11), North Texas (Feb. 24) and Western Kentucky (Feb. 26).
