JUNIOR SEASON (2003):
Hit a single-season best nine doubles, drove in a personal best 28 runs and
scored a single-season best 24 runs...Her nine doubles were three more than she
had in her first two seasons combined...Had six multi-RBI games and and seven
multi-hit games...Ended the season with seven home runs – three of which came at
the NCAA Regional in Fullerton... Saw limited action in Sun Belt play due to a
shoulder injury suffered in pracitce prior to the Middle Tennessee series Apri
5-6...Went 2-for-2 with two home runs and four RBI in the Cajuns World
Series-clinching victory over Oregon – her first home run of the game was a
three-run shot that extended UL Lafayette’s first-inning lead to 5-0...The two
home runs against Oregon marked the first multi-home run game of her
career...Finished the NCAA Regional at Fullerton with three home runs and seven
RBI...Had a three-run homer in the Regional opener against San Diego State...In
game two versus Southern Mississippi on March 9 went 2-for-3 with a double,
triple and two runs scored...Was 3-for-5 with four RBI against McNeese State on
Feb. 28 with a grand slam in the top of the seventh...Was batting a season-best
.370 after the McNeese game...Went 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI in the
Cajuns 6-2 Sun Belt Tournament championship game win over FIU.
SOPHOMORE SEASON (2002): Appeared in 55 games, starting all but one...Slugged career-high 10 home runs this season, after having none her freshman season...Also drove in a career high 19 runs...Hit her 10th home run against UMass at the NCAA Region III at Lady Cajun Park to give Lady Cajuns a 2-1 lead at the time...Had a single up the middle in Sun Belt Tournament championship game, that started a six-run, sixth inning for the Lady Cajuns...Had season-high three RBIs at New Mexico State April 20...Was 2-for-2 with a home run at Nicholls State in game one...Hit game-tying, two-run home run in game two at Louisiana-Monroe April 24 in the top of the seventh with UL Lafayette trailing 5-3...Lady Cajuns went on to win that game 6-5 in eight innings.
FRESHMAN SEASON (2001): Despite year-long battle with back injury,
managed to become valuable asset in Lady Cajun offense...Was named to All-NCAA
Regional III team at Louisiana State after going 3-for-9 with a double and a run
scored...Got five-run rally started in NCAA Regional win over Arizona State with
a double...Also had two hits in regional win over Southern Miss...Biggest hit of
year came at Louisiana Tech April 13...Broke up sixth-inning scoreless battle
with a three-run triple in 4-0 Sun Belt triumph...Also had two hits against New
Mexico State April 28.
HIGH SCHOOL: Was a four-year letter winner at Spring High School for head
coach Sherri Colwell…Led Lions to three playoff appearances in her four
seasons, including a district championship in 1998…Four-time all-district
selection…Also lettered four seasons in volleyball for head coaches Jo Beth
Palmer and Lynn Perry…Two-time all-district selection led team to two
playoff appearances.
PERSONAL: Born December 25, 1981, in Houston, Texas…Parents are Ed and
Terry Grayson…Has one older and one younger sister…Majoring in dental hygiene…Was named to Who’s Who Among American High School Athletes.
