HIGH SCHOOL: Was a four-year letterwinner in softball and three-year letterwinner in volleyball at Sulphur High School...Played shortstop for the Golden Tornado... Her senior season, she hit .444 with 12 RBI for the Golden Tornado of District 3-5A...She was a member of the 2001 state champions and the 2000 team advanced to the quarterfinals while the 2002 squad made a regionals appearance. Collins was a member of the All-District 3-5A team in 2001 and 2002 as well as a member of the All-Southwest Louisiana team..
