High School: Two-time all-state choice at Ouachita Christian School, playing for coach Steven Fitzhugh. . . earned first team all-state honors after leading team to a 15-0 record and the Class 1A state championship. . . also named first team all-state after an 11-4 junior campaign. . . lettered three times in football, twice in basketball and once in track. . . two-time second team all-district pick in basketball. . . threw the shot put as a freshman as a member of the district championship team.
