Led the Louisiana defense and ranked 13th in the Sun Belt with 84 tackles, 40 of which were solo stops … Credited with 3.0 tackles for loss including 0.5 sack … Posted a season best 11 tackles in a victory over Ohio (Sept. 16) … With the performance against the Bobcats, Louisiana improved to 6-0 when McCaskill contributes 10+ tackles in a game … Recorded 4+ tackles in each of his 13 appearances, including six or more in nine contests … Led the team with eight tackles the victory over Georgia State (Nov. 4) … Tallied seven tackles on four occasions in victories over Nicholls (Nov. 11), Georgia Southern (Sept. 25), App State (Oct. 12) and Texas State (Oct. 30) … Scooped up his second career fumble recovery against the Mountaineers (Oct. 12) … Led the team at Liberty (Nov. 20) with six tackles.

Picked up Third Team All-Sun Belt Conference honors following his stellar redshirt junior campaign…Led Louisiana in total tackles with 83 on the year, while tying for third on the team in sacks (2.0) and tied for seventh in tackles-for-loss (2.5)…McCaskill’s 83 total tackles were the seventh most in the Sun Belt Conference and tied for the 42nd most in the nation…McCaskill became the first Ragin’ Cajun since Jacques Boudreaux in 2019 to post three consecutive double-digit tackle games after notching 10 tackles at Iowa State (Sept. 12), 12 tackles at Georgia State (Sept. 19) and 14 tackles against Georgia Southern (Sept. 26)…His 14 tackles against Georgia Southern were not only a career high, but also marked the most tackles by a Ragin’ Cajun since Tracy Walker was credited with 15 at Appalachian State on Dec. 2, 2017.
