2012 (Junior): Played in three games as a reserve on the offensive line. . . saw first action in closing moments of the win over FIU (9/29/12) and came back to play in the final two games of the regular season, South Alabama (11/24/12) and at Florida Atlantic (12/1/12). . . earned first letter.

2011 (Redshirt): Sat out the season as a redshirt while gaining experience as part of a talented offensive line unit.

Junior College: First team all-conference choice as a sophomore at Cisco College, playing for coach Scott Taylor. . . started 16 of the 18 games at center over his two seasons.

High School: Honorable mention all-state choice as a senior at Grapevine High, playing for coach Shane Eidson. . . lettered three times in football and started two seasons, earning all-district kudos as both a junior and senior. . . was one of two wrestlers in school history to record 100 wins. . . was 42-4 as a senior, finishing second in the state meet as a heavyweight.
