Briazja Wade
  • Title:
    Director of On-Campus Recruiting
Widely regarded as one of the top up-and-coming football recruiting specialists in the country, Briazja Wade has served as Louisiana Football’s Director of On-Campus Recruiting since February 2020.

Wade is responsible for supervising, planning, coordinating and executing all official and unofficial visits to campus, as well as supervising and assigning all recruiting staff on game day, junior days, official visits, and daily practice visits by prospects.

In addition to her recruiting duties with the program, she works closely with the compliance office to maintain accurate information for recruits in ARMS and educate recruits and their families on NCAA and Sun Belt recruiting rules.

During the recruiting shutdown due to COVID-19, she created and implemented creative ways to reach recruits, helping the program sign the top class in the Sun Belt Conference.

Prior to joining the Ragin’ Cajuns, she spent five years at Mississippi State, serving as a Student Recruiting Assistant (2014-18), a Recruiting Assistant (2019) and a Graduate Assistant in the Office of Institutional Diversity & Inclusion (2018-19).

With the Bulldogs’ Football program, she worked closely with the Director of On-Campus Recruiting to plan and facilitate campus visits, assisted football coaches and office personnel with daily football operations and maintained and input accurate data for Recruiting Radar and Whistle Recruiting.

She used that experience on the gridiron to impact the campus community. During her time with the Office of Institutional Diversity & Inclusion, she developed and customized trainings for diversity issues and implemented programming to aid in the recruitment and retention of under-represented faculty, staff and women.

Wade is a proven leader and her experience reflects that, serving as the Director of the Athletics & Recruiting Committee on the Cabinet of the Director of Athletic Affairs while in Starkville.

Over the last few years, she has also continued to grow her knowledge base and gain invaluable experience by attending prestigious seminars and symposiums, such as Women Leaders in College Sports, the NFL Women’s Careers in Football Forum, the NCAA Emerging Leaders Seminar and the Women Leaders/NCAA Women’s Leadership Symposium.

Wade attended Mississippi State University, where she earned a degree in Business Administration and a master’s degree in Sport Administration. She is a proud member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., and was a member of the University’s homecoming court in 2017 before graduating Cum Laude.
