  • TICKET PICKUP
    • Thank you for making plans to be in Shreveport to watch the Ragin’ Cajuns take on the Houston Cougars in the Independence Bowl on Friday, December 23 at 2:00 PM! All tickets for the Independence Bowl will be hard tickets (no mobile option). Below are options for fans to pick up their tickets for the game:
      1.      CAJUNDOME Box Office:
      a.      Wednesday, December 14: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
      b.      Thursday, December 15: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
      c.      Monday, December 19: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
      d.      Tuesday, December 20: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
      2.      Independence Bowl Box Office – GATE 4:

2022 INDEPENDENCE BOWL PARKING INFORMATION
  • Online Sales for parking passes will begin at a later date but are available for purchase over the phone. Blue Lot parking passes may be purchased online prior to game day for $12 and on game day for $15. Handicap Parking available by calling the Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl office at (318) 221-0712 or the State Fair office at (318) 635-1361.
  • The Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl provides shuttle service for fans attending the game. A $5 round-trip fee will apply but fans 12-and-under ride for free. The shuttle will run from beginning approximately four hours prior to game time and will run until one hour after the Independence Bowl is over. The two shuttle locations are Pierre Bossier Mall and Mall St. Vincent in Shreveport. Shuttles will run from 9:30 a.m. until one hour after the conclusion of the game. For information about buying shuttle passes on the day of the game, call (318) 221-0712.

BIG GAME SHOW
Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at 6:30 PM  |  Riverview Theatre

Before the teams take to the gridiron, they will have to battle it out in the “Big Game Show.” Coaches and players from both teams will compete in an array of game show-style competitions, and the audience will have a chance to participate too!

The annual Fellowship of Christian Athletes Breakfast is presented each year for the participating teams and their coaching and administrative staffs. Hosted by the NWLA FCA Chapter, this event annually hosts more than 500 guests, offering breakfast, and featured speakers who give their personal testimonies.
WELCOME TO SHREVEPORT LUNCHEON

Events kick-off on Thursday morning with the Welcome to Shreveport Luncheon, hosted by the Ark-La-Tex Alumni Chapter. University President Dr. E. Joseph Savoie will be the special guest. Lunch will be Dutch treat, and RSVP is required.

RALLY ON THE RED

The Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl is not just about the game, it is about the whole bowl week experience! Fans can get the party started the night before the game with a trio of FREE events, including the Mardi Gras Preview Parade, Pep Rally and Battle of the Marching Bands and a FREE Parish County Line concert. The parade will kick off the night from the Louisiana Boardwalk Outlets and run through the East Bank District. That will lead into the Battle of the Bands, a fireworks show and the Parish County Line concert in the East Bank District!
RAGIN' CAJUNS CENTRAL

The party rolls on Thursday evening with fan events presented by the Independence Bowl. Fans can join the UL Lafayette Alumni Association at Ragin’ Cajuns Central at Chef’s Table by BeauxJax, 521 Barksdale Blvd., Bossier City. Complimentary food will be provided, while supplies last, and beverages will be available with a cash bar. Ragin’ Cajuns Central is the perfect place to meet up with fans to watch the Mardi Gras Parade, attend the Battle of the Bands, and finish the night listening to live music on the patio.

MARDI GRAS PREVIEW PARADE & BATTLE OF THE BANDS

Get an early taste of what is to come during the Mardi Gras season with the Mardi Gras Preview Parade that features floats from local Krewes and the two university bands and spirit squads! The parade will start in the Louisiana Boardwalk Outlets and flow through the East Bank District in Bossier City! Following the parade, the two school marching bands will then face off in a Battle of the Marching Bands in the East Bank Plaza! After the Battle of the Bands, there will be a fireworks show leading into the Parish County Line concert to cap off the night!
PARISH COUNTY LINE CONCERT

Following the Mardi Gras Preview Parade and Pep Rally & Battle of the Marching Bands, there will be a FREE Parish County Line concert to cap off the night!
You may have seen them in 2018, but Parish County Line is back once again for the Independence Bowl! Finishing off the night of festivities the day before the game, PCL will rock out for a free concert in Hurricane Alley in the East Bank District from 8-10 p.m.
RAGIN' CAJUN PREGAME PARTY
Friday, December 23 at 10 a.m. | Agriculture Building


The fun continues on game day with a Ragin’ Cajun Pregame Party in the Agriculture Building, located within walking distance from the stadium, 3301 Pershing Blvd., Shreveport, LA. Your entry fee incudes a brunch buffet with a variety of options, as well as soft drinks and water. Two complimentary drink tickets will be provided, followed by a cash bar for alcoholic beverages. Don’t miss the special visit by the Pride of Acadiana Marching Band and Ragin’ Cajun Cheer Squads for a Ragin’ Pep Rally!

COCA-COLA FAN FEST 
Friday, December 23, 2022 from 10 AM-1:30 PM  |  State Fair Grounds  |  FREE
The 46th Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl kicks off at 2 p.m., but the party will start early and go all day leading up to the game with Coca-Cola Fan Fest! Fan Fest starts at 10 a.m. and runs until 1:30 p.m. The fun will be on the turf outside the northeast gate of Independence Stadium in the Silver Lot. There will be fun for all ages! 

DJ Jay Whatley will be providing the entertainment; there will be corn hole boards available for everyone to play; and there will be food and drink from local favorites and the State Fair of Louisiana! The bowl has also partnered to bring the ESPN Events Tailgate Tour to Coca-Cola Fan Fest. The ESPN Events Tailgate Tour will have tents providing free food, prizes and fun!

2022 INDEPENDENCE BOWL BAG POLICY
  • Fans are encouraged not to bring any types of bags inside the stadium; however, the following outlines bags that are permitted:
  • Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and do not exceed 12? x 6? x 12?;
  • One-gallon clear plastic freezer bags (Ziploc bag or similar); and

  • Small clutch bags, with or without a handle or strap, that do not exceed 4.5? x 6.5? (approximately the size of a hand).

  • An exception will be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection at a gate designated for this purpose.

  • An approved logo no larger than 4.5? x 3.4? may be displayed on one side of a permissible clear bag.

    Prohibited bags include, but are not limited to: purses larger than a clutch bag; briefcases; backpacks, cinch bags, and fanny packs that are not clear and/or exceed the size restriction; luggage of any kind; computer bags/cases; camera bags/cases; binocular bags/cases or any bag larger than the permissible size.

    Fans will continue to be able to carry items allowed into the stadium in a permissible clear bag.

    This policy pertains to bags and is not an all-inclusive list of items that are prohibited from being taken into the stadium. Therefore, fans should be aware of specific institutional policies regarding prohibited items that may not be brought into that institution’s stadium.
