check-in begins at 8:30 a.m.
The Ragin' Cajuns Showcase Camp is an opportunity for high school players, freshman to seniors, to participate in an evaluation setting in front of the entire Louisiana Lafayette coaching staff. This camp is an essential part of the recruiting process for our staff as it enables us to add players to our current follow list as well as identify a later developing, uncommitted senior prospect. Several of our current players have participated in these showcase camps and have been recruited and signed as a result of their performance at these events.Â
Check-in will take place at M.L. Tigue Morre field located on the Louisiana Lafayette sports complex at 201 Reinhardt Drive in Lafayette, LA. The Moncla Indoor facility may also be used in the event of bad weather.Â
All position players will take part in a 60 yard sprint for time, a defensive session where skills will be evaluated along with arm strength, and batting practice. Following lunch, pitchers will be asked to throw to hitters in a controlled game. Pitchers will be on a strict pitch count. Dual players (pitcher/position players) will be allowed to do both skills, however it is important to do your best at the position you are the most effective.Â
Cost of camp - $125.00
Session 1 late fee - $25 after August 20th
Session 2 late fee - $25 after November 5th
Session 3 late fee - $25 after January 7th
Cancellation Fee
$25.00 non-refundable for all camps
