Junior College: Made 32 tackles (19 solo) with six quarterback sacks for -24 yards in seven games at East Los Angeles College before a season-ending injury as a sophomore. . . played for coach Steve Majarro. . . played his freshman season at Eastern Arizona JC.
High School: First team all-district selection as a senior at West St. John High, playing for coach Robert Valdez. . . helped team to a 12-3 record and a second place finish in the state playoffs. . . had 123 tackles, including 30 TFL, 14 sacks, five forced fumbles and three interceptions, returning two for touchdowns. . . played his junior campaign at Hahnville High. . . earned the linebacker MVP award at the Ultimate100 Southeast Camp in Atlanta in 2010. . . originally signed with Texas A&M out of high school.
