High School:  Two-time all-state selection at Ackerman High, playing for coach Adam Dillinger. . . had 61 tackles (46 solo) as a senior, making four TFL with two sacks to help team to an 8-4 record. . . was named second team all-state and the region defensive player of the year after recording 64 tackles as a junior (52 solo). . . added 39 tackles as a sophomore and finished career with 172 stops (132 solo) with five fumble recovered and three sacks in 41 games. . . was 12-for-19 on extra point attempts as a junior. . . selected to play in the 10th Annual Subway High School All-Star game. . . competed in the shot put in track. . . a two star recruit by each of the three major services. . . chose Louisiana over interest from Ole Miss, Mississippi State and Southern Miss.
